This pattern is designed with a variety of flexibility. It is written for either fingering weight or DK/Sport weight yarns. You also have the choice between knitting the cowl version, or you can choose to knit the scarf version. This gives the knitter the ability to pick which will work best with their wardrobe. Also, because of the flexibility, you can choose the length you prefer to wear.
